Good afternoon,
Could anyone help me with this problem ? SUMMARY ═══════ I always thought that someone logged in as administrator in Vista has full (ie. read &write) access to all files and directories in the computer. Vista's "task scheduler" is telling me that I do not have certain rights to make changes to my tasks and that I do not have permission to access certain directories. DETAILS ══════ Well, as administrator, I told Vista's "task scheduler" to run a .bat file which tells the computer to go into a couple of directories and delete all the IE cookies that it finds there. Here are the directories: C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Co okies\Low C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Window s\Cookies First, "task scheduler" tells me that I need "batch rights" in order to run my task. Second, it tells me that I do not have permission to access the above directories. I am running Vista on a home computer. There are two accounts: "UserName" (which we all use) and, of course, the adminstrator account. I didn't realize that scheduling tasks would be such a big production ! Thanks for any help you can provide. |
