I wanted my 2 HP Laptops running on Windows Vista to print using a shared
printer from my HP Desktop running on Windows Vista. The Printer Sharing is ON (password required) on my desktop and the printer is already shared. The network settings for all 3 computers are the same except that the desktop is wired and the laptops are not. Both laptops can see each other when I tried to map the entire network but the desktop does not appear on the map. All 3 have Private Network connections with Network Discovery ON. When I tried to view full network map on my desktop it will give me the message "Windows cannot create a network map for the selected type of network connection" even if I have already set it to "Private Network". I read the online help available and checked all suggested settings but still the problem remains. Suggestions please... Thanks... |

Go through the guide below and make sure you didn't forget anything. It
won't work unless everything is set just right. http://www.maximumpcguides.com/share-a-printer/ -- MAXIMUMpcguides.com Helping you get the MOST out of your Vista PC. -- "gil" wrote in message ...
