Hi,
I have different localized languages to test in Dynamics group and have run into a problem. When I try to remote into a test computer, usually Win2k3 EE, from Vista, I sometimes get an error connecting with chinese: ------------------------------------ Remote Desktop Disconnected ------------------------------------ (x) This computer can't connect to the remote computer Try connecting again. If the problem continues, contact the owner of the remote computer or your network administrator. [Ok] [Help} -------------------------------------------- I get a slightly different error when the remote desktop has German for the localized language. --------------------------------------------------------- Remote Desktop Connection --------------------------------------------------------- /!\ Remote Desktop cannot verify the identity of the computer you want to connect to. This problem can occur if: 1) The remote computer is running a version of windows that is earlier than windows vista. 2) The remote computer is configured to support only RDP security Layer. Contact your Network Administrator or the owner of the remote computer for assistance. Do you want to connect anyway? [Yes] [No] ----------------------------------------------------------- I can then select [Yes] and continue to log in. But, if I remote connect from win2k3 to the OS with a different language, German or Chinese from English, there is no problem or error messages. The first problem that will not let us connect is the one that is blocking us from checking on test and status of machines or doing manual test when our dev box is Vista. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Wes (Excell) SDET Microsoft |
