Default VPN: RASCHAP problems?

I have an Acer Aspire with OEM Windows. I cannot connect to my client's VPN -
even though I am using exactly the same settings that work from my XP-based
stations. My client confirms that they are using CHAPv2.

My username and password are being denied. I tried to look at the trace log,
and instead of finding a log file called RASCHAP.LOG, I found one called
svchost_RASCHAP.log - when I open it, the log file is in Chinese.

Acer cannot help - their support for Windows is very basic. Acer is a
Taiwanese company and their installer techs tend to leave some stuff in
Chinese. How do I change the language of logging for RASCHAP?

Carlo
