Default I feel screwed again!

Hi all: This is not looking good. MY wife asked me to update an
application on her smartphone (XV6700 running WM5). THis application
syncs drug information which she uses in the Hospital as a physician. I
had recently installed Vista on our computer and had successfully setup
WMDC.

No problemo I say. So I go to install the latest version - oops it
won't install. Seems the application will only install with ActiveSync
and it does not recognize WMDC.

I can't just copy over the cab files and install the update manually as
this application syncs with a database over the net to update it's drug
library with current data.

It seems to me MS should have seen this issue coming don't you? I mean
they have pruduced pdas for 7 years which rely on Activesync and then
they go and change things without providing a way to at least install
the old version??

All help greatly appreciated, Chris.

What does the manufacturer say about Windows Vista compatibility.
Check with others using the same tools how they use Windows Vista.

You may need to go back to Windows XP until the manufacturer decides
to support Windows Vista for their products.
