Have 4 computers wired into LAN. 1 XP Pro, 1 Vista Home Premium, 2 Windows
2K. All can ping and see one another. All have identical usernames & passwords. Logged in as identical users. Firewalls are disabled. All access internet perfectly. Can access XP file shares from 2K & Vista. Can access Vista and XP from Win 2K machines. Only problem remaining is Vista to 2K machines. Get uname and password prompt when accessing 2K from Vista. Put in correct password. The box adds the name of the Vista machine in front of the password (compname\uname) and sends "incorrect logon" error. I apologize if this has been posted before. I've read all the postings for the last 6 weeks and need the Vista machine for my business. Appreciate some help. |
