I have noticed that with build 5600 if you hit F2, to rename a folder, when
you hit the paste command, nothing happens and you basically have to retype the entire name manually, no matter how long or how short it may be. And more often than not, the folder sctructure does not refresh to show the new folder sctructu better yet, it will show the new folder name, BUT the old folder name stays there as well. You have to leave the folder and come back to it again, to see the new structure. Has anyone found any issues such as these before? Thanks |

Are you saying you have copied a name to the clipboard and want to paste it
in rather than type it? I've never tried that, as it was seem you'd do that only if you were going to rename a lot of folders with the same name, not something you'd usually do. That is correct.
At times there is a need to identify data sent to myself from some peers. However they send data all with the same name, and I need to read a file witin the zip (usually just a VS.net 2005 Solution file), and rename the folder accordingly, so I know what I am working on. Not only does the cut and paste action fail, BUT if you manually rename (by pressing F2) the folder, the fodler with the new name shows up immediately, however the old folder name stays in place until I exit the parent folder and come back. I believe this is part of a bigger issue but for the life of me, I cannot
understand how few people either notice it or even see it. Please verify but I have seen this since RC1 and now in RTM. Right click and create a new folder. I don't see the new folder or have a chance to name it. If I hit F5 to refresh, still nothing. If I click a different folder and then click back, there is my new folder named 'New Folder' which at that point, I can rename. If I create a new file or folder at the command prompt it seems fine. This happens at both local and network drives that I have full permission on. It only happened on network drives before RTM and the F5 key used to refresh. -ck "rfidalgo" wrote: That is correct.
