Character Map is located in the System Tools folder, or you can type
"charmap" into the run dialog.

That's great for finding the character map - is there any way to put it
where it really
belongs in case someone else want to find it the traditional way???

You can arrange the shortcuts in the Start Menu any way you wish. If you
want to move it from system tools to accessories just drag it there.
