Default LLTD?

I've heard that one way to get Vista to connect with XP machines is to
install the LLTD protocols on the XP computers. BUT, I've not been
able to find the needed downloads for these protocols. I did find
KB922120 which was supposed to have the required download:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en

but MS seems to have taken it off line for some reason. Can anyone
provide me a working link to the LLTD protocol download? Or, send me
an E-mail with the protocols attached?

Thanks, Bill

Of course I did this, then clicked on "Download" on the next page
which failed.

It's not working for me, how about E-mailing me the downloaded file,
or post it online somewhere and post the link here?

Thanks, Bill

Works here on XP after clicking validation. Turn off the pop-up blocker in your browser or third party software.

It only provides a method for Vista to map the XP machines in the Network and Sharing Center(a map is a schematic of the machines on the network). It is not a tool that performs the connection between the machines, file or print sharing.

Bill,

As others indicate, LLTD lets you SEE other computers. It won't enable file
sharing though. You have still more work to do.
