Default vista not allowing ICS

i am trying to share my internet with a ps3/xbox360,until recently it was no
problem
then i moved house now when i try to set ICS i get the message windows
cannot display the properties of this connection the Windows Management
Instumentation (WMI) information might be corrupted. it then goes on to tell
me to use system restore.I have now tried all of the restore points only to
be told that there was a problem and nothing has been changed . can anyone
help?

here's hoping
