Thanks for the explanation. Still a bug; I'de think;that my AV apps and other programs;don't see them as junctions;and get stuck; in the "Hall of Mirrors" Don't know if that's MSFT;or the 3rd party app. Jeff |

Windows has supported these types of junctions for a long time now, and it has always been possible for a junction to "point back on itself" like this; however, this is the first time that Microsoft has included such junctions out of the box. I suppose the antivirus program is bypassing the security restrictions on the junction, which is why it is entering into the hall of mirrors.
