Default Vista Installation incomplete...died halfway through installation

Vista will need more drive space than 16gb, so yes clear out the drive you
intend to be your primary Windows drive and let Vista use it all.

I currently have 2 80 GB HDs. The one that I am trying to install Vista
on has about 16.2 GB of free space. Would this really cause the Vista
install to crap out like it is?

Should I just reformat my primary HD and start from scratch?
