Default Can't make computer bluetooth discoverable

Please help. I have an HP m7757c MediaCenter pc and I am using Microsoft's
Wireless entertainment desktop 7000. I am trying to sync my Treo 755p to the
computer, but when i go into bluetooth options and check "make computer
discoverable", I get an error saying "an error occured and the changes could
not be saved The bluetooth device may not be plugged in". I cannot find my
keyboard or mouse in the list of bluetooth devices. I have tried
reinstalling the keyboard/mouse, but it didn't help. Any suggestions?

Penguinphan,

I'm not familiar with the device you're trying to sync, but take a look at
the following link to determine whether it contains information that can get
the device connected to Vista:

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobi...icecenter.mspx

One other reference that may be helpful, is he

It's up to you to determine whether the above information can be applied to
your situation.

thanks for your help freddy. i think that the issue is that the computer
returns an error every time i check "make computer discoverable" in
bluetooth. I always get an error saying that it couldn't save and that the
bluetooth adapter is not plugged in. but the adapter is plugged in, or I
wouldn't be able to use my keyboard and mouse. I'm at a loss here.
