I am attempting to install a network printer on a Vista machine. The machine is a colour postscript printer (FYI, a Vipcolor 8020 colour laser label printer). I can not seem to install the printer driver which was designed for XP. The error message I get reads " Printer driver was not installed. Operation could not be completed (error 0x00000002). I can not work out whether this is a compatibility problem with Vista or a network error. I can connect to the machine's internal web server. FYI, I am connecting to a local port, new port, and typing in the address bar '\\vp8020\print' which works fine on the XP machines and the driver .inf is local on my vista machine. Steve W (in Aus) |

You need to get a vista compatible driver. Check the vendors website or just
type your printer model and driver into google. "Steve/Aus" wrote: I am attempting to install a network printer on a Vista machine.
