Please can anyone help.
I have manage to etstablish a network connect with my web server by "add Network Location", but with Vista i can only find an ftp:// way of uploading to my web server with add a network: My web site requires to be uploaded with HTTP uploading protocol with FPSE, but when i Secify the location of my website following the on screen prompts, it will not allow me to input an html address, below are the examples given from the wizzard during the add network location process It gives examples: 1. \\server\share (Share folder) 2. http://webserver/share ; (Web share) 3. ftp://mysite.co.uk (ftp site) The address i would like to add is: http://breladecockerspaniels.co.uk Can anyone shed some light on how to upload with vista as a HTML protocol, not an ftp protocol. Many Thanks -- brelade |

You can't add a network location by just its URL. It requires a webshare to
actually attach to. You need to either create a webshare on that server or add the shares name to the end of the URL. it would look like http://breladecockerspaniels.co.uk/webshare "brelade" wrote: Please can anyone help. Many Thanks for your reply. I have managed to establish a link to my server as below (ftp://breladecockerspaniels.co.uk) in add network connections, however i am having problems with FPSE and forms included in the site. I can upload in ftp but not http which i believe is the problem with this form. Can you recommend a program to upload in http, or explain further what webshare is. My knowledge is quite basic in uploading, with XP i solely used my network connections, now add new connection in Vista. A web share is just like a folder in your computer. If you had a web share
for the Programs folder it would look like Http://www.webserver.com/programs .. This will allow you to connect to a folder via HTTP, just like FTP has many default folders like public. Is there a specific folder on this webpage that holds all of your files? That might be the name of the webshare. I'm not sure of any program that will use HTTP, there are multiple freeware ftp programs though. I found this program while searching. I have no idea if it will work or how to use it. http://www.kessels.com/Upload/index.html Let me know if it helps. "brelade" wrote: Spenceation Many Thanks for your reply.
