Default files are read only when extracted from Zip folders

Hello,

Whenever I extract a file from a zip folder or from a zip file from the
network, the file is set to 'read only'. That's annoying. Any way to change
that?

Thanks

Hi Jeannette,

All folders appear "read only", this attribute only applies to files. The
appearance of that attribute in a folder's properties is misleading.

So how is it that when I try to open the file my program warns me that it is
read only and that after I change the properties it opens ok?.

I solved the problem. I installed my old trusty PKzip Explorer that I was
using in W2k and that works fine.

Thank you

Jeannette
