Default uac in pre-rc1 build 5536

Wow,

Thanks for listening to us about the annoyances of UAC in the beta 2. There
has been marked improvement in this build.

However, I've come across a few issues now that I'm using vista more and mo

1. UAC doesn't ask for access sometimes when software needs to make a
change. For example, I use Forte Agent 3. Unless I run it as administrator,
it hardly works.

2. Some programs, like Money 2005 will install ok, but don't always run
correctly. I installed Money from a web download, logged in. It downloaded
the delux features, restarted Money, tried to log in and it could not
discover the internet connection. Eventually it fixed itself. I don't know
if it was because I ran as administrator or it occured when I turned UAC off
temporarily for my next problem...

3. Programs will install correctly, but when you put in a key or serial
number in WinDVD 7 it is unable to update the program. If you run as
Administrator, it's the same issue. I was able to resolve it by turning off
UAC temporarily and entering the key.

It seems to me that most programs run fine with UAC but some older legacy
apps are going to have problems. I don't think UAC is ready yet for a final
release....

Anyone else have issues with it?
