I had the same issue after installing Windows Vista RC1. Based on posts in
some of the other threads here I decided to try unplugging my USB wireless
mouse. Gosh, the screensaver kicked in. Who'd a thunk it.

Anyway, I'm guessing you have a wireless mouse? Unplug it.

i've had previous issues with wireless and usb ms mice before but am using a
plain scrolling ps2.
i'm thinking maybe something to do with ati/windows drivers for graphics
card but visually aero looks sweet.

I'm running ATI on the laptop. If it was the actual graphics (in my case)
then removing the mouse should have made no difference. There are certainly a
lot of posts with this issue however. Best of luck.
