Default people looking for lost activation keys

i too was in the same perdicament having lost my beta key from the last
release, and spent an hour looking through the pages here trying to find a
solution.

in a bad mood i went back to the rc1 email that i got sent by ms to delete
it, just as i was about to, i noticed nestled half way down the email and
not highlighted in any way was this sentence

"for you convienece we have included you beta product ket that you may use
on rc1 xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx2" obviuosly the x's were something else

so i suggest that most ppl ( me included) who receive the email just go to
the links and dont bother reading the email, READ IT and dont delete. Im now
installing rc1

hope this helps

Sulky_Uk,
You are correct the key comes with the email how ever a
good portion of the "lost keys" are no doubt people who never had them, Or
are people who discarded the key out of error, lack of knowledge or what
ever reason. (never had one) No doubt some of these missing key claims are
legit but a good number are just peeps who never bothered signing up. The
missing key thing comes about with every beta that rolls out.

Note to ponder for testers. Use your passport log in credentials and use a
hotmail account. you can create custom folders ins a few mouse clicks to
move your access and acceptance mail to that folder. Keep that mail in your
folder and you never have key issues. Print it if you wish but leave the
mail in the folder. I'm ranting yes but if you don't understand the basics
of backing up your critical data. ( anything important to you.... documents,
music email xxx pics etc) then your not ready for beta testing in the first
place.

If you installed a beta and now are ****ed cause you lost your data at
work.......
It sucks to be you!! BETA I suggest you Google the word or any search
engine of your choice and read the definition. Here we are in 2006, would
you fly on a plane that offered transatlantic flight that has not been
certified by the powers that be for safety. This plane has yet to be ready
for the flying public. Remember the Wright brothers?? There first plane was
BETA, but it did fly. Not far but it did none the less.

Lost your key?? I feel no sympathy for you .... Either you are not worthy of
Beta or you not a tester, or better yet you didn't even sign up for the CPP
in round 1, or you just don't read the the documentation.

For the testers that are legit and have misplaced the key this rant is not
at you. You are the few who know they screwed up. Your excitement of a
improved build was more important than backing up data. But you are the
select few.

Rant on..... Rant off

I just got the email that suly-uk talked about. While I did delete the
email from Beta 2 I did print out the key so I'm also working with RC1.
