Default Run as

Hi all,
I try to do a "run as" with a specific account(my domain administrator
account), I need to do it often to open specifics applications(like AD, SQL
....).
But I just see "run as administrator", is it possible to change to "run as"
and choose a specific account ?

Thanks,
Pascal

PS: Vista 64b, build 5728

Hello,

Unfortunately, there is no longer a "run as" command available from the
shortcut menu. However, you can accomplish what you want from the command
prompt.

- Open a command prompt
- Type: runas /user:USERNAME "command line"
- Press enter

Where USERNAME is the username you wish to run as, and "command line" is the
program you wish to start.

For example:

runas /user:jimmy "notepad"
