I'm testing out the parental controls in RC2 and it looks as though there is
definitely the POTENTIAL for exactly what todays parents need. However, everything is not work so who knows if it all will be part of the final product, I hope so. Now, my current problem. I have an account for testing that I have setup parental controls on, Activity Reports are on, Web Filtering is on 'Medium', I also specified in the Allow list 'http://mail.services.live.com'. I am having the same problem using either Homail.com or the Windows Live Mail Desktop. I am trying to access the same e-mail account as I do with no problems from my account with no Parental Controls. Here is the message I get when I try to connect through 'Windows Live Mail Desktop'. 'Unable to poll for new messages on your HTTP server. There is an error synchronizing your mail account. Please verify your account has been configured correctly by first access your mail on the web. Server: 'http://mail.services.live.com...' In Hotmail, I don't get an error, it just hangs when I try to open the inbox. I hope there is a fix for this, because like I said, there is definite potential. |
