Linux based some operating system can reset the admin code but if you have
encrypted NTFS file system, you loose access to this folders. And i don't know this operation is whether legal, or not. Austrumi - (Linux-console) based free operating system - can reset admin password. I heard some there is some windows tools but encryption is still the problem. Rachel
I did some searching for you and I found the following article by Vic Ferri on the TechTrax website. It concerns XP, but just might work with Vista also (?). http://pubs.logicalexpressions.com/P...cle.asp?ID=305 "rachel+" wrote: i wanted to know if i can get you to try and help me i am an administrator for my computer and i forgot my windows log on password and i was wondering how should i go about trying to get into my account setting so i can change it |

I use ERD Commander or Knoppix for lost passwords. They are boot CD based
Linux programs which allow you to access your drives and recover passwords.
