I have an executable zipped to a selfextracting exe.
When the exe inside that zip file is started the UAC appears. When I run the selfextracting exe, it extracts the exe inside to the temp folder and runs it. When in this case the UAC is started minimized. So many users won't see this. How to make the UAC appear? Any idea thank you, Christoph |

Do you mean that there is a taskbar button for User Account Control which
flashes in the taskbar? If so, this is by design. For certain things, User Account Control will directly prompt you, and in other cases (for instance, some setup applications) will invoke User Account Control minimized. -- Kristan Kenney Windows Live Butterfly News and Experiences on Windows Vista and beyond: http://www.windows-now.com This post is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
