Tony,
I got the same message with an Invidia GEForce 5700. Am trying to find out what to do "Tony" wrote: I am wondering if this is a Vista, ATI, or Second Life question so I'm posting it to all three. I wanted to see how Vista supports games so I installed Second Life. When I try to run it gives me the following error. Your Video card appears to be a GDI Generic, which Second Life does not support. It then goes on to explain what kind of video card it needs (which mine is supported in XP). I have the latest ATI catalyst drivers, but I'm not sure if it might be how Vista reports the video card to the running program. I have also tried running it with administrator privilages and in XP compatability mode, with no change in symptoms. |
