So far, this is the only newer game I've come across problems with.
First, while testing Upgrade capabilities, I noted Madden would play. However, when it did, the fields were grey, and uprights were non-existent during gameplay. I chalk that up to DirectX incompatibility, or perhaps an upgrade issue... So, I've gone through with both RC1 x86 and RC1 x64, and neither will allow Madden to install. It will Autorun when the CD is inserted, however the OS just refuses to run the installation application (whether I click on it on the splash screen started by the autorun, or I click on the file itself on the CD). I've tried the Compatibility Wizard to no avail. I've tried running it as Administrator with no luck as well. Has anyone had issues like this, and if so, found a workaround? Needs to be reported otherwise, but I'd rather know first that it's not an isolated issue. I try to gather as much information as possible before submitting things to MS. |

I had the same problem with Madden 07. So I had an install done on XP SP2 and just tried to run the application Mainapp.exe. When I did this, I would be told that the DX9 dll's could not be found and would not run. And trust me, missing out on the install saved you from a restore point. The install runs DX9 install and messes up everything that used DX. |

I have the same problem Madden 2007 will not install on RC1. Somebody told me
its because of the copy protection on the dvd. I dont know if thats true or not. "Spike" wrote: So far, this is the only newer game I've come across problems with. I'm able to install Madden 2007 on Vista 32-bit RC1 build 5600 and run it
without any problems. -- Yea! Boy -ee "zimmie" wrote: I have the same problem Madden 2007 will not install on RC1. Somebody told me its because of the copy protection on the dvd. I installed Madden 2007 and was at first able to get to the point where you
get a frozen screen with ther sound in the background like the game is playing. Then tried going to compatability mode and running in XP mose, and running as administrator...now, i can't even get to the game, as it won't read the disk in the drive. As an aside, COD:UO plays, but with very slow frame-rates, even though this is a new computer and has better hardware that my last computer that COD ran great on. Just got this computer and OS, and so far am very underwhelmed...supposedly Vista will work with most programs, but that appears to be false. Even my new mouse and printer don't work fully, and had to install Microsoft's own program (MSN) 5 times before it would work right. Vista is crap!! Madden works fine under Vista. Its the video card drivers that are the
culprit. 100.59 nVidia drivers fix the freezing screen and you can still here the game in the background issue. Tony "StoneColdChris" wrote in message ... Where are you finding 100.59 driver? I just went to the Nvidia web site and
the current driver is 9746. "Tony" wrote: Madden works fine under Vista.
