After completing the install for a game (Star Wars: Knights of the Old
Republic) and attempting to launch the app, I receive an error: conflict with disk emulator software (see securom.com/emulator). I've tried running the app in compatibility mode (for both the EXE and the 'launcher app') as well (XP and 98/ME) but to no avail. The only thing I can think it to be is that the securom code isn't included in the RC1 drivers for the CD/DVD DLLs. I'm not running a pirated version, nor am I using (or have installed) drive emulator software. Thoughts? Ideas? ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes. I had the same problem until I uninstalled Daemon Tools and re-installed the
game. Of course, now the game just crashes whenever I try to start it, so I guess that isn't really progress.
