My window vista cannot view XP pc name but XP OS can see Vista
Hello all,I come to to find help,I have a problem with my network sharing
file and I wanna use my Window Vista to print my document on my Laptop Lenovo and I got my printer attached to Window XP PC,my desktop PC can view my Laptop name on Workgroup but I cannot access to it and my laptop using Vista cannot see my XP pc on network,anyone can help?My english not so good and I will try to do all the way to make it until can view the XP PC and can print from my VIsta Laptop,my Laptop connected by wireless,please help .. sob sob

My window vista cannot view XP pc name but XP OS can see Vista
how was the connection? have you tried to ping both pc whether it has any
responding or not? Have you tried to do the setting on on Vista in the Network and Sharing center? Also if you do the file sharing on the Vista have you tried to do the file permission regarding on the users? Hi Asuran,thanks for ur reply,I just read all the message in this thread and
I just installed 1 file name WindowsXP-KB922120-v5-x86-ENU & I can view my XP PC on my Vista Laptop now but I cannot go in to XP PC to get my file or other thing,my XP PC also can view my Laptop name on workgroup but still got problem and I still cannot go in to my Laptop,I cannot ping my Laptop base on ip or name,anyone can help me more?Thank you~ "Asuran" wrote: how was the connection? have you tried to ping both pc whether it has any responding or not?
