Hi, I have a home network with 3 XP machines and 3 Vista machines (3 switches
and 2 wireless access points) set up as shown in character-based diagram bleow: [Router: MODEM]---[World] ! [Switch] +-[Access Point: WAP1]-wireless- +-[Vista Ultimate: SERVER] +-[Vista Premium: KITCHEN] +-[spare connection] + [Switch] +[Access Point: WAP2]-wireless- +[Printer: PPRINTER] +[Vista Premium: OFFICE] [Windows XP: SOPHIE]-wireless- [Windows XP: ARNAUD]-wireless- [Windows XP: GILLES]-wireless- LLDR is installed on all XP machines, LLDP/LLDR is activated on all Vista machines, no firewall on the machine themselves, wireless AP and first switch (5-ports, full) are Belkin, 2d. switch is D-Link 8-ports (3 used) For some reason which I can't figure out, Vista network mapping work fine on "SERVER" and "OFFICE" PCs with the exception that the Vista PC KITCHEN is not mapped (total of 5 PCs mapped out of 6). When trying to show the map on KITCHEN PC, it simply fails! All PCs are member of same workgroup, files shared from the server are accessible from any of the five other PCs (including KITCHEN) ping, etc... works fine, not Ethernet errors - What else can I do to debug this? Any suggestion is welcome! -- Pierre |
