If you've got an ATI card lying around shove that in the machine instead, ATI drivers are a lot better at this stage than nVidia's. -- Paul Smith, Yeovil, UK. Set Far Cry to work in Compatibility Mode: Windows XP. That should ease some
of the problems; I got much better frame rates on DirectX9 games using Capmatibility mode, Vista uses DirectX10 by default, which is better but doesn't work with DX9, so it apparently wastes some time trying DX10 before switching to 9. Or something. Yes it wil work; if FC64 didn't work in Vista64 the game wouldn't even have installed. You did run the install for it, in Vista, right? Some people tried just running off the XP install, and that doesn't work. "Paul Smith" wrote in message ... "Don" wrote in message ... Will the 64bit version of FarCry run with Vista64?
