This doesn't seem to be a unique problem but I haven't fund the solution.
When I try to open Hardware Manager and other select MMC snapins I get a dialog that Microsoft Management Console stopped working. I've run SFC as Administrator and SFC finds a corrupt MMC.EXE (apparently a Hash problem) but is unable to fix the problem. Is there a fix that can be applied to get the console running? -- Chaps 1994 |

I'm getting somewhat of the same when I go to open Diskkeeper 2008. It used to work, but now I get this thrilling message, "Microsoft Management Console has stopped working" ... Is it possible for anyone on here to give a fix for this? Thanks! |

there is a hot fix from widows that fix this problem like a charm 'When I tried to open Device Manager or the Computer Management window, I received an error message: "MMC cannot open the file C:\WINDOWS\system32\devmgmt.msc"' (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/914231) -- Angeldark Posted via http://www.vistaheads.com |
