Net work issue between vista and XP
I have two computers on a home network. Both compuetrs connest through a
switch which is connected to a cable DSL modem. They are both set to Workgroup and they both are able to access the internet right now. The XP doesn't see the Vista computer and the vista computer sees the XP computer on the network map, but not in the network. They are unable to communicate with each other and their is no shared printing or files. I have checked and set all firewall options, added the software needed for XP to be seen by vista, shut everything down and then powered up, everything I could find. Could you please help me get my network back. Attached are the ipconfig and browstat for both computers. Net work issue between vista and XP
Are you using the public IP to share your computers? It is not recommended. You should have a router to protect your computers.
