The game loads, the 'paramount' intro does not display, the screen stays
black, but you can hear the video. once the video clip ends it takes you to
the game menu and the game plays, however none of the video clips play.

I've tried all the different compatibility modes. I'm wondering if it has
something to do with Nvidia beta drivers not supporting overlays yet????

Or just an incompatibility between this game and Vista

Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit (RTM-Retail)
AMD 3700+ (754)
2GB Corsair 3200 3-5-3-6 (1gb x2)
XFX 7800GS AGP (latest beta build drivers 100.64)
X-Fi Xtreme Music (latest beta build drivers 2.13.0001, with latest Alchemy
beta)
All updates and extras from Windows update/Ultimate extras.
Running setup in a 2003 Domain environment with local admin/domain
admin/enterprise admin rights.
UAC disabled (of course).

i am using vista home premium, and have intel core 2 duo 1.6 ghz, 2 gb
RAM , Intel graphics card with 128mb video RAM. I am unable to run
Godfather game. I have tried all compatibility modes, plus even tried
running the game as an administrator. but the game just does not
start. it crashes giving an error msg ' buffer overran the allocated
memory....blah blah blah...'. Ia godfather completely incompatible
with Vista? is there any solution to run the game on Vista. Please
help.

I'm suprised that the game works on your PC at all with onboard video. Its
possibility that Intel's on board video driver for vista is still in it's
infancy. It took a few driver versions for the Nvidia driverset to play
friendly. Its still in beta though.

I've only run into a few games that I can't get working on Vista. I have a
feeling that this godfather problem is codec related.......

Will reply back if I find anything
