Default Blue Screen of Death

I have the Windows Vista Home Premium Edition and whenever I plug in my i-pod
to sync it with itunes...I get the blue screen of death message on my
computer and I have to manually shut down my laptop. This has happened a few
times now, how do I fix it? Please help.

Hi,

Contact Apple for support as this is and has been an ongoing issue with
their supporting software. Make sure you are using the most recent version
available for download, including any patches.

Ahhggg. Vista is an unmitigated disaster!

How much longer must we put up with this problem?
It's been an ongoing issue since Vista was released (foisted) on the
public. Having just installed an out of the box new HP desktop, it fails
miserably to recover after a power saving shut-down from the screen
saver mode. The PC BSOD's !!!

I know there may be a fix from the many posted, but WHY? after all this
time, is it still happening?

Shame on both M$ & HP for allowing this to continue for almost 2 years.

Why should users who don't have a clue, have to deal with this problem.
Please, don't tell me I need to check/install the latest drivers, BIOS
or M$ patches. I've already done that (it shouldn't have been necessary
with the latest HP from a large retail chain) & it still BSOD's!

If it were my PC, I'd take it back to the store & demand a refund. I
may recommend the user do this, anyway.

VISTA is another Windowz ME! compared to XP.

..Keith
A weary PC tech!

Since it is no doubt a hardware-related problem that is exactly what
SHOULD be done.

What are you waiting for... an invitation from the store???

Thanks for the helpful & innovative suggestion! It adds nothing to the
discussion.
There are in excess of 13 patches already posted, which M$ seems
oblivious too! Few if any helpful suggestions are on this forum.
The problem didn't exist in the RC's and surfaced in the RTM, almost 2
years ago.
Keep your sarcasm to yourself.
I've reverted to XP-SP3 and the problem is resolved.

That's unlikely to occur. Learn to live with it or put me in your KF.

Once again & as usual....You fail to address the issue...You numbskull.
I fM$ addressed the problem with VISTA, we wouldn't need to have this
useless (your contribution anyway!) discussion.
