Doom 3 patch not applying
Try running the file as administrator, that did the trick for me

My user account is an administrator account but not THE administrator account. Heck, I'm not even sure what the administrator account password is becuase I was never prompted during set up. Ahh nevermind. I see the Run As Administrator in the shell option.
