Has anyone else had problems playing games from www.zone.msn.com? Since I've
put Vista on I can't play any of their games free online. It starts the game
installer, brings up a box asking me to hit the continue button (which I do)
and then it says 'Whoops, we were unable to install your game'. This occurs
with all of the games and seems to me to be a security setting but I've
allowed everything and turned my security down but to no avail. Any ideas?

Are you using Vista or XP? I was able to get into Zone games just fine in XP
using IE7, but in Vista RC1 I'm having trouble as well. So far I've tried
adding msn.com to the trusted sites, allowed pop-ups and cookies from
msn.com, AND ran IE7 as administrator to see if that would help with the
installation. It froze at the pre-game advirtisements for about 3-4 minutes
but seems to be working fine now.

You legend! Thanks so much. I had already done everything except for run
IE7 as administrator. I changed that and bingo! Haven't had any freezing
either.
Let's hope they fix this before the full version comes out. Thanks again!

Hopefully it gets fixed or they put a workaround on the zone site because now
I can't get into it unless I run IE as admin, can't even log in.

There is problems with zone.msn.com even in XP, specifically Spades, if you
select invite a friend, rated, then choose from the messenger list it doesn't
seem to be working, the person didn't get the invite. And when I clicked on a
persons message window and chose "See a list of activities" and selected
Spades, they got the invitation, but the login screen pops up in IE7 and then
it "downloads" again, then the page pops up that asks what kind of game I
want to play, I choose Invite a friend and rated, then it asked me to invite
a friend even though I already invited a friend. It doesn't seem to know that
I already invited a friend.

, click on
Try this: go to Control Panel/User Accounts and Family Safety, click on go
to main user account page, then click on Turn User Account Control. This will
turn off the account control security features and allow you to play the
games at MSN Games.
