Default connecting to shared printer

I have a W98pc functioning as a printserver in my network. When I trie to
connect with my new Vista pc to the shared printer I get the error
0*00000866 en the connection is failed. On the same W98 pc are also files
shared and those files can easily be accesed with my Vista. I installed the
printerdriver om VIsta and made a new port using the networkname
(\\pc\printer) and also tried through IP adress, no go.

Please help,
