Hi
I have a new sony vaio TZ11XN with vista business installed. (purchased in July 07) It connects perfectly to my home wirless network, the wireless network at the Radison hotels in London and the Networking & Sharing Centre tells me it is connected - to "local & internet" but at any of the BT or Tmobile hotspots it only connects to 'local'. All the settings seem to be the same. It seems that when I would usually open IE at these locations it would default to the page of the provider so that I can buy the access I want; it doesnt do this as I cannot 'connect to the internet'! This is a nightmare as I work and play for 80% of my time on these networks. Can anyone help? cheers Iain -- Iain M |

Hello Iain,
Steve Riley wrote in his blog about Windows Vista vs hotels. If you haven't already, I suggest that you try the suggestions mentioned from his blog and see if this will resolve your problem. Let us know if it works. http://blogs.technet.com/steriley/ar...vs-hotels.aspx -- Eric Cross Microsoft MVP (Windows Networking) http://mvp.support.microsoft.com "Iain M" wrote in message ...
