I'm using Windows Vista Pre-RC1, Build 5536, and my Microsoft LifeCam 6000 is
not recognized either. Will Microsoft launch Vista Driver soon? "Jéjé" wrote: Hi, there is any drivers for the Microsoft Lifecam for Vista RC1? Currently, the cam is not recognized by the OS. Thanks Jerome. |

recognized either. Will Microsoft launch a driver for it soon? I bought this Cam because my other webcam, (Creative PC-CAM 600) was not on the list of developing drivers for vista. Please, help us! I would imagine they will eventually and I know it looks weird that
Microsoft's own products aren't suppoerted. In my case my keyboard and mouse! Don't forget although these products carry Microsoft's name they are actually made by someone else for them. -- Peter Toronto, Canada XP Pro SP2 x 2 + Vista Beta P4 D865GBF HT @ 3.0ghz 2.0gb DDR 450gb HD ATI Radeon 9550 Graphics Creative Soundblaster Audigy 4 Audio "Paulo Eduardo - Brazil" wrote in message ... Hey, sometimes you should NOT follow what you are told... Installation of the VX-6000 calls for installing software before pluging in DO the reverse... Plug it in... Windows will recognize it for what it is Life Cam VX-6000 then some stuff about not being able to tun it... but it is installed. go to live messenger (did not try it in Yahoo) Call the cam video set-up Change the camera from whatever it shows you to VX-6000 Voila it works, Crappy & not HD !! but it works.. seems it installs but not with the right driver... tried it after on skype... again... change the cam to VX-6000 works again... same quality as Messenger...\ Dull... but at least working I guess will get better later.... Everything Video seems not to work properly with Vista.... As I am not a techie, I do not why, maybe drivers of graphic cards... Hi,
Im currently developing a video filter for application use on the windows platform and we encountered this problem. No (good) support/ for the LifeCam series. I know there are beta drivers on the Windows Vista Technical Beta area at connect.microsoft.com. But how do I get access? How do I apply for it? or Where?
