am having an issue with what i beleive is the DHCP CLIENT service on my
laptop. None of my network adapters be it wired or wireless are getting DHCP info from the router automatically. I know its not the router because other machines using the same router are getting assigned IPS and DHCP info automatically. If i input settings manually into the adapters then i am able to access the router and the internet. I am getting the following error message from Windows Wireless Service: The dependancy service or group failed to start. i am unable to view any of the adapters in the network connections area. Any help would be greatly appreciated. MS VISTA BUSINESS 32 BIt 3GB RAM INTEL CORE 2 CPU T7600 2.33 GHZ I went into services and into the properties of the DHCP client and found the following: In the top pane i see 4 items. 3 of them are drivers which dont appear on the services list when i look for them to make sure they are on. the 4th one os the nsi service. it appears as off on the services list with a description of "Failed to read description, error code 998 and when i try to turn it on it says windows cannot start it on the local computer and gives this error message: Error 193: 0xc1 Thanks |
