Default My Document Sync Problem

We have all of our users my documents folders redirected to our file server.
We have one user who is using Vista on a Sony Vaio laptop and we are having a
problem with syncronizing his offline files. What happens is when you try to
sync his user folder it attempts to sync the entire users directory. If you
go into the sync center it shows the entire users folder as a sync
partnership. All of the files and folder are not select to be available
offline with the exception if his. However, when it tries to sync it will
error out on other user folder and file. It does not give you an option to
remove the snc partnersip.
