No mouse, no keyboard
Hi
I have just started up my system after moving so it has been idle for a while. On boot I got a battery fail, checksum, and hard disk error Sounded like classic dead battery. Replaced battery Now no problem with the POST no more error messages, but windows won't start and gives me options from safemode start through to normal... None worked and so I have booted from the CDrom to repair windows. I get to the vista Install Windows screen choosing language etc and it hangs. I have no mouse and no keyboard I have tried different mice, USB and even serial to no avail. Any suggestions? Oh by the way I have tried default settings in the POST but still no difference. Hard drive sounds a bit creaky???? Thanks in advance. Wombat -- Eats, roots and leaves. |
