Default netorking problem

I have a desktop with xp on it
i also have a laptop with vista home premium on it
i have set up a wireless router and both machines can connect to the
internet ok
when i use my laptop i cant see or share files of my desktop what i want
to do is access all my music 50gb so if iam outside ine garden i can play my
music
can someone please help me solve this

If turn off the firewall, you can ping each other by IP? Or this troubleshooting may help,
