Does Vista RC1 support SATA-DVD when install?

I am planning of purchasing a new SATA-DVD, does Vista RC1 support SATA-DVD installation? Thanks in advance. I cannot state positively that Vista would support the SATA-DVD, but it should. The primary factor affecting this in Win XP was the motherboard chips. Some would enable recognition of the SADA Optical drive for boot-up and installation of the system and others would not. I think that if you are able to configure your BIOS to see the SATA channel as SATA and not SATA-RAID it should work. My Asus board does not have the option for this, but my MSI board does. |
