Default *Installing device driver software* prompt - no longer appears

I am trying to install a USB HP 2840 on Windows Vista. There is a
compatibility issue with this printer and Vista, but there is a
workaround.

1) the driver at the hp website does not work
2) the workaround from HP does work (please see attached). I know it
works because I have successfully installed it on a fresh build Vista.

However, I cannot get it to work on my clients Vista machine - it does
not prompt to install the driver which you can see at
ftp://vi-amber.no-ip.org/prompt.gif I

f I can get back to this point I'm sure I'm home and dry! It did
appear at one point point but I didn't make use of it.

Thanks for your help.

I saw your post but it did not include the attachement for the HP workaround,
I am experiencing the same problem on a vista machine that I am installing.
Can you please post or email the HP workaround?

Thanks,

Bob
