HP Compaq NX7000 display goes crazy after install
I installed Vista RC1 on a HP Compaq NX7000 laptop with a 1.8GHz Intel
Centrino Processor, 512MB of RAM, and 64MB Radeon 9200 video. The chipset is Intel 852/855. When it got to the part during setup where it asks to create an icon, user name, and password the screen suddenly went crazy like it was out of sync. I did manage to get through the rest of setup even though the display had triples of everything on it. I rebooted into Safe Mode and the display was fine. I noticed in Device Manager that were was a problem with the Processor to AGP driver and it said there was not enough resources available. Also I noticed the Radeon 9200 display driver nor any display driver was not installed or loaded by Vista. I removed the Processor to AGP driver and rebooted into Normal mode. The display was fine until about 5 seconds after Vista completed its startup and the display was so bad I couldn't see to do anything. What should I do? Thank you, Rich |
