Default NVRAID 1 and RC1

I'm attempting to install Vista RC1 cleanly to my computer. I have 3 SATA
drives in my NForce4-based PC.
1 SATA Drive is standalone, while the other 2 are in a RAID 1 array using
the onboard NVRAID controller. I am unable to see ANY drives, even after
loading either the XP, Beta 2 or RC1 Nvidia drivers for the RAID controller
in question.

Has anyone else had this issue? Thanks!

I can not see any drives if I have a RAID array enabled on my nForce 4 mobo.

I have the same problem with a gigabyte GA-K8NXP-SLI which has both a NV
raid and a SI raid.

After loading the drivers only the SI raid drives can be seen.

It was OK with 5384 but no longer is !!

You can do a fresh install of RC1 will install from Windows XP.

I just encountered the exact same problem. I was able to install BetaII and
build 5536 with no problems both with 2 drives set as RAID 0 and one as SATA
only and even when I removed the RAID ARRAY completely so I just ran 3 SATA
drives alone both versions installed.

RC1 will not for me with the nforce 4 chipset. I then tried 5536 and beta II
nforce drivers and it see's all of my drives. I just downloaded another ISO
file last night and will try it again tonight with the RC1 nforce drivers
and the new ISO and will get back to you. FYI I burned the RC1 ISO at 2.4x
like they suggested while I had burnt the previous builds at 16x with no
issues. The new ISO I downloaded last night I burnt at 8x this time so we'll
see what is going on.

This is one stubborn OS to deal with so far. I still cannot find a properly
working anti-virus either.

Phil.

Beware, I tried the NVidia RC1 drivers - these do not work for my board
(gigabyte GA-K8NXP-SLI ) which is an AMD nforce4 board. I only get BSODs
and have had to re-install Vista RC1.
