I have a notebook toshiba satellite a135 with vista home premium
i got lastest drivers and windows updates but sometimes the computer freezes when i copy a file trougth the network, so i have to remove and replace the batery... windows dont creates any report because it freezes completly solution? |

Check the hardware such as NIC and switch settings. Make sure the speed duplex are matching. This link may help too.

I have a different model toshiba satellite with vista home premium and
have the same problem (although I can get the computer to shut down, and then I can reboot, just by holding down the power button for many seconds). It doesn't always happen, but it happens enough to be very annoying. However, sometimes, when doing a bulk copy of files to a remote system (Windows 2000), the system won't hang but one or two file transfers will have errors (and those destination files are corrupt).
