Computer freezes when copying files trougth network

Default Computer freezes when copying files trougth network

I have a notebook toshiba satellite a135 with vista home premium
i got lastest drivers and windows updates
but sometimes the computer freezes when i copy a file trougth the network,
so i have to remove and replace the batery... windows dont creates any report
because it freezes completly
solution?

Check the hardware such as NIC and switch settings. Make sure the speed duplex are matching. This link may help too.

Default Computer freezes when copying files trougth network

I have a different model toshiba satellite with vista home premium and
have the same problem (although I can get the computer to shut down, and
then I can reboot, just by holding down the power button for many
seconds). It doesn't always happen, but it happens enough to be very
annoying.

However, sometimes, when doing a bulk copy of files to a remote system
(Windows 2000), the system won't hang but one or two file transfers will
have errors (and those destination files are corrupt).
