I'd be interested to find out if anyone here can reproduce a strange
explanation for slow lan performance that I haven't seen mentioned here Full explanation is here http://forums.2cpu.com/showthread.php?t=83112 In brief, people are noticing that vista seems to cap the lan speed while playing audio or video |

Looks like it's been narrowed down to audio playback
Stripping the soundtrack out of a movie and playing it doesn't cause the huge speed decrease I wonder how many people who also complain about vistas lan speed have had some audio software running at the same time |
