Hi
Can anybody tell me why it takes 3 minutes (on a dual core laptop) for 'Connect to a network' appear? I have around 40 VPN connections configured, which I believe to be the cause of the slowdown. When creating a network connection on a clean Vista installation, the 'Connect to a network' appears quickly (obviously). Regards sparky_b |

That didn't help me. I have about 50 connections I use for dialin out from work. Under XP the rasphone.pbk works fine but I think VISTA has a bug. If I rename the rasphone.pbk then everything in vista works OK. But as long as there is 50-60 entries in the rasphone.pbk, Vista takes a very long time to open network connects/properties or dialups PERIOD. Does anyone have insight to a Microsoft FIX for the VISTA rasphone?? -- mike1weaver |
