SB Live Vista Drivers
Little problem, i did that and yeah it installed it ok. But then i went and
let Vista pick the driver for my ati x1600... rebooted and it bluescreen so i had to use last known config. I see that the sound driver aint' installed again, so i do that again but just get error saying it found drivers but couldn't find the file it needed. I deleted the dir and tried again but still same error message, anything i can do to fix this? "skhekare" wrote: Creative SoundBlaster Live! Series. Works with special drivers found here http://www.ngohq.com/home.php?page=F...&dwn_cat_id=20 (32 Bit) (does not work with gamer mode, nothing gets installed) Instead, download the WinXP driver, run it (it will say and error message, don't press OK yet, go to (for example C:\Users\a\AppData\Local\Temp\CRF000\Audio\Drivers \WIN2K_XP) and in device manager click "update driver" and use that path. Or you can extract the driver from the package. Download LiveDrvUni-Pack(ENG).exe (24.451.404 bytes) and extract the /audio/drivers folder and run CTZAPXX.exe to install the drivers. Now digital output trough the creative digital din plug works with 5.1 speaker setting with Creative Inspire 5.1. "Jay" wrote: The driver for the SBLive 5.1that came down from the updates is not complete, There are 3 drivers in total for that card, and only one was in the update. So because of this, it only works in stereo, no surround, and vista doesn't see the microphone jack. Also the gameport isn't recognised because although a driver for it is in the update, It's not a vista driver, it is an XP driver. I'll continue searching for drivers, perhaps a 3rd party will have had this problem and solved it themselves. For now I'll just check with ATi and make sure there is a catalyst driver for my radeon. You might want to do that and see if yours come come down the same way. As for the Acer 310U scanner, the manufacturer is always the best source for drivers, have you contacted them about driver support for Windows Vista in the future? -- -- Andre Windows Connected | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta "PcDoc" wrote in message ... Anybody find drivers that'll work for the SBLive cards in Vista 32 bit? Creative Labs has posted on their site that they don't plan on supporting them in Vista. Also searching for drivers for an Acer 310U scanner for vista. Thanks, Muppet |
